Level Up Montessori - Hayward
Programs:
Infant Care, Toddler, Pre-school & K
Serving:
Castro Valley, San Lorenzo, Union City, San Leandro, Fairview & Cherryland
The pre-k year at our Milpitas campus is where everything children have built in preschool comes together. Under director Ms. Sandhya, four- and five-year-olds at 301 S Abbott Ave move from letter sounds to writing words and short sentences, from counting to early addition, and from following routines to leading them. Our Milpitas campus is our South Bay school for the youngest learners, one of the few in the area where a baby can start in infant care and continue through pre-k, and kindergarten readiness is the goal every Milpitas family shares.
Because Milpitas is open Mon - Fri: 8:15am - 6:00pm, pre-k families get a full academic day and extended care in one place. Spanish, music, yoga, and dance enrichment continue through the pre-k year, the campus is nut- and peanut-free, and parents stay connected through the Brightwheel app and the classwork that comes home each week.

Pre-k at Milpitas is a dedicated kindergarten-readiness year, not just the oldest preschool group. Here is what the year looks like for children on S Abbott Ave.
Milpitas pre-k students practice letter formation daily, blend sounds into words with Montessori movable alphabets, and begin reading simple books. Weekly worksheets and journals come home so parents can see progress, and work is individualized so each child keeps moving at their own pace.
Bead materials and number rods build real number sense before symbols, leading into early addition and subtraction. Science experiments, geography, and cultural studies broaden the year, and Spanish enrichment continues from preschool.
As the oldest children at Milpitas, pre-k students take ownership of classroom jobs, present their work to the group, and learn to follow multi-step directions. These habits are what kindergarten teachers notice first.
The Milpitas campus is open 8:15 AM to 6:00 PM, so pre-k families do not need a separate after-care arrangement. Younger siblings in infant care, toddler, and preschool are on the same campus, with one pick-up for everyone.

Children leave Milpitas pre-k reading simple words, writing their name and short sentences, counting and adding with confidence, and comfortable in a structured classroom. Families should confirm kindergarten enrollment requirements with their chosen school or district.
We accept subsidized families and offer a sibling discount, which many Milpitas families use when more than one child is enrolled on campus. Learn about financial assistance or ask for current tuition when you tour.

Families from North San Jose, Berryessa, Warm Springs, and south Fremont choose Milpitas for pre-k because of the individualized Montessori academics and the 8:15 AM to 6:00 PM schedule that removes the need for separate after-care, and because S Abbott Ave is minutes from Calaveras Blvd, I-880, and I-680, right on the route into the North San Jose tech corridor. These are nearby communities we serve from Milpitas, not additional campuses.
